Ice-skating lessons continue in Sunnyvale’s downtown rink

Since opening the new seasonal ice rink in Downtown Sunnyvale recently, the city has been the hub of a number of holiday activities, including last weekend’s holiday celebration and tree lighting.

For skaters looking to make improvements on their skills – or wanting to learn how to skate at all – a new program at the rink might hold the answer. Learn to Skate sessions are underway, occurring each Sunday morning through the end of the season, after starting December 1.

The one-hour sessions run from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and start at $25 per person. Check in time for the lessons is 9:15 a.m.

As of press time, sessions on December 15th are sold out, but sessions on December 22 & 29, as well as each Sunday in January, are still open. According to organizers, reservations open one week prior to each date.
