Cupertino’s Mayor Steven Scharf and one of the city’s Councilmembers, Jon Willey, are set to hold a town hall forum this weekend.
The event, Saturday, August 10, starts at 6:30 p.m. Cupertino’s Community Hall, 10350 Torre Ave., will hold the gathering.
According to the city’s website, the two-hour event will be split into two segments, with the first hour for resident questions and open discussion and the second hour focused on housing.
The Town Hall will cap a busy Saturday in Cupertino, with the Kids Fun Festival expected to bring 30,000 attendees earlier in the day.
Cupertino has been at the center of a number of housing-focused controversies in recent years, mostly around the redevelopment of the Vallco Town Center site. The city’s approach to housing stock was the subject of a warning letter from California housing officials earlier this week.
