Senior citizens can be among the most vulnerable to scammers and hackers looking to steal personal identification or financial information.
To help equip local seniors with the best information and resources to combat these scams, State Assemblyman Evan Low is hosting a ‘Senior Scam Stopper Seminar’ early next week.
It is being run in coordination with U.S. Congresswoman Anna Eshoo’s office and the California State Licensing Board. According to event organizers, one in five American seniors has been the victim of fraud, underscoring the need for more information.
The event, set for Monday, September 16th, will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
The Joan Pisani Community Center, 19655 Allendale Ave., in Saratoga will host the gathering.
