One of the most popular annual festivals in Santa Clara rolls back into town this weekend, entertaining thousands of attendees and raising money for local non-profit groups.
The 39th annual Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival is set for Saturday, September 14th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, September 15th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will feature more than 160 artists and dozens of local beer and wine selections. Food options and a number of kid friendly activities will keep families happy and fed throughout the days.
Three stages will host more than 30 musical and dance acts throughout the weekend.
Santa Clara’s Central Park, 909 Kiely Blvd., is the backdrop for the event again this year. Smoking is prohibited in the park and organizers advise attendees to leave their pets at home.
Additionally, nearly 200 information booths for local organizations and community groups will provide a full Santa Clara-community experience for those at the event.
Some of the local non-profits benefitting from this year’s event include: Santa Clara Schools Foundation, Santa Clara Senior Center, Santa Clara Police Activities League, Santa Clara Rotary Foundation, and activities from the Santa Clara and Wilcox High School PTSAs.
Parking is sure to be difficult around the park area throughout the weekend, so carpooling, walking, or planning extra time into the schedule are the best bets.
