Santa Clara to host ‘Inclusive Makerspace’

As part of its effort to support a more diverse and accepting community, the City of Santa Clara is hosting an inclusive maker fair for individuals with special needs and their families.

The interactive event — where attendees will get hands-on with science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) projects — is set for Saturday, June 1.

According to the event page, “Inclusive Makerspace is a collaboration between the City of Santa Clara’s Youth Commission, Library, and Therapeutic Recreation Services.”

Santa Clara’s Central Park Library, 2635 Homestead Road, will host Saturday’s fair. It is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
