The Cupertino Historical Society will hold a gala event to commemorate the anniversary of completion of the Transcontinental Railroad.
Completion of the railroad led to economic growth and development throughout the American west. The railroad, completed in May 1869, was among the most ambitious infrastructure projects in American history.
The gala will occur at the Quinlan Community Center, 10185 North Stelling Road, on Friday, May 17, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The event will feature dinner and a Chinese musical performance, as well as a speaking program.
A limited number of free tickets remain. For more information, and to secure a space, visit the Society’s event page here.
