De Anza College bests competition to win 12th-straight conference honor

De Anza College continued its dominance of the Coast Conference, winning its All Sports Trophy for the 12th-consecutive year.

The award honors the best overall performance in the 17-member conference. Points are awarded for season standings in each of 22 sports and the total combined score determines the All Sports Trophy winner.

“I am especially proud that we have a diverse offering of sports for our student body,” said De Anza’s Athletics Director Kulwant Singh in a statement. “Many schools in the state and in the conference specialize and feature certain sports. At De Anza, we value all sports.”

De Anza College fields 17 teams and saw a number of successful campaigns this year, including from its cross country, badminton, track, and volleyball teams – all of which finished second in conference.

De Anza has won the All Sports Trophy 25 of the last 35 years.

The Coast Conference includes a number of community colleges from across the South Bay and Monterey Bay areas.
