Monta Vista, Cupertino and Homestead high schools all made the list of Bay Area public schools in the State of California with the highest percentage of students meeting the state targets for SAT scores. Monta Vista was ranked No. 1, according to statistics, released by the California State Department of Education in July.
The department looked at how many students who take the SAT receive certain score minimums for the reading and math section.
Monta Vista came in at the top of the list with 97.95 percent of its students meeting the benchmarks. Cupertino High School was ranked ninth out of 20 schools, with 91.96 percent of students meeting the benchmarks, and Homestead High School was ranked thirteenth with 90.88 percent of students meeting the benchmarks.
Monta Vista has been ranked as one of the top comprehensive high schools in Santa Clara County, across California and throughout the nation, according to the school’s website.
