  1. The experts say it can’t survive as a retail only mall? Why are they doubling the size of Santana Row and Valley fair then?

Wow! What an incredibly biased “poll”. Your first three choices are effectively what Sand Hill Properties is planning to propose for the site, followed only by options to leave it as it is, or “retail only” (while trying to dissuade poll takers from choosing that option by claiming that “experts” say it’s not a viable option). No options like “primarily retail” such as Better Cupertino is proposing. In short, no reasonable alternatives are offered here to the three proposals the developer plans to present. It is so obvious who is behind this poll and that the motive for it is to try to counter the Better Cupertino petition that is getting lots of support. Very transparent motives here.

  3. Please keep the ice rink! We need recreation for our kids!

  4. The ice rink offers something fun to do for the whole family; please keep the ice rink!

  5. This poll is biased in re: the retail only option: “in spite of what experts say”.
The poll about issues facing Cupertino is contradicted by the City of Cupertino’s 2017 poll, which found that traffic (not housing) was the biggest issue facing Cupertino residents.
The motive and purpose of Cupertino Today is suspect.

  6. Please keep the ice rink

  7. Please build more housing – the city needs it badly. The time for retail only is long gone.

  8. In response to the comment about the ice rink — the ice rink is dirty. It smells. It’s disgusting. It is not accessible to the disabled or to strollers. I’m all for providing recreation opportunities for children and adults, but the entire Vallco mall needs to be knocked down and completely rebuilt according to the original plan, which will provide plenty of recreation opportunities along with world-class shopping, dining, entertainment, park, housing and office space.
