Santa Clara kicking off Halloween home decorating contest

With the end of September and the rise of October, Halloween is just around the corner. Cities around the West Valley are trying to find ways to build holiday spirit despite COVID-19.

Santa Clara is launching their third annual Halloween Home Decorating Contest Thursday.

The contest, a partnership between the city and the Santa Clara Cultural Commission, runs through October 28.

Residents can decorate their home’s exterior with Halloween decorations, with one winner per council district. Entries are open until 8 p.m. on October 28.

Those wanting to enter must complete an entry form and submit 3-5 high-resolution photos. The City Council will acknowledge winners, provide them with a decorative yard sign, and share winners on social media.
