Event to examine local role in women’s suffrage movement

Register to vote at the Cupertino Library in honor of National Voter Registration Day.

The Los Altos History Museum, which is celebrating Women’s Suffrage through a new exhibit, is hosting an event examining the local role in achieving that milestone.

The event will specifically review how women in Santa Clara County and the Bay Area helped the movement.

Attendees at the event, coming Thursday, September 17, at 12 p.m. will hear from Dr. Margo Horn. Horn is a Stanford University lecturer on Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

The free event, run on Zoom, comes as the country honors 100 years since the ratification of the 19th Amendment.
