Health Fair Saturday in Saratoga

Far too often in communities across the West Valley, residents don’t know how to access services they need. The healthcare space is no exception to this issue, but a local community group is working to change that.

The Saratoga Area Senior Coordinating Council is set to host its annual Health Fair this Saturday, September 28th, with activities and information for every age.

In addition to child-friendly aspects – including a bounce house and ice cream, the fair will have free flu shots for anyone over age 5 and free lunch for the first 250 attendees.

With its “Live Happy, Live Healthy, Live Sassy” theme, the fair will feature a number of local resource organizations including those focused on seniors and elder care, general healthcare, charitable organizations, LGBT groups, and local government agencies.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Joan Pisani Community Center, 19655 Allendale Ave., in Saratoga.

Organizers have put together a short video about the event, accessible here, highlighting Saratoga as a community for people of all ages.
