Cycle Fest, benefiting Hope Services, this Saturday

A bicycle-focused swap meet is coming back to Sunnyvale this weekend, with a charity-centric goal in mind.

This year’s iteration of Cycle Fest, put on by Sports Basement, will feature a number of vendors and bike demonstrations as well as the bike, parts, gear, and equipment swap meet. The event is for cycling enthusiasts and for those looking to get a bike part or two.

Cycle Fest is free to attend and will also have food and beer on hand. Proceeds and donations will benefit Hope Services, a Silicon Valley-based non-profit organization dedicated to improving life for people with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.

The event is Saturday, August 31. The swap meet portion begins at 10 a.m. and runs through 2 p.m., with an 11-mile group cycle ride happening first at 9 a.m.

Sports Basement Sunnyvale, 1177 Kern Ave., will serve as the main hub of activity.
