The open enrollment period for 2020 health insurance plans is right around the corner and California’s marketplace organizer is already getting prepared.
Covered California, which runs open enrollment in our state, has been reaching out to organizers and service providers in advance of this year’s sign up period. California has an extended open enrollment period, which runs from October 15th through January 15th, 2020.
This week, Covered California is holding an information session about 2020 plans – including rates and changes, as well as updates on the renewals and sign up processes. Representatives will also answer questions.
The event is at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, 2440 W. El Camino Real #300, in Mountain View on Wednesday, August 28th. It is set to run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and parking is available onsite in the facility’s underground garage.
According to Covered California data, more than 50,000 Bay Area residents used the portal to sign up for health insurance last year.
