A major convention focused on our feline friends is rolling into San Jose this weekend, with food, music, vendors and more on hand to entertain attendees.
The Silicon Valley Cat Convention – or known by its shorter name: Silicat Valley Con – is set for the Club Auto Sport Event Center, 521 Charcot Ave in San Jose, this Saturday and Sunday July 27-28.
According to organizers, “Silicat Valley Con is a collaboration of musical and artistic talents bringing people together to support cat centric non-profits that exist across the globe.”
The event will feature a number of presentation areas, including a Main Stage, Alley Cat Garage, Kitten Lounge, and Meet n’ Greet section, each with their own lineup of events, panels, entertainers, comedians and more throughout the weekend.
In addition to food, Silicat Valley Con will have a full bar and 50 vendors with cat-related merchandise. The event will also feature workshops and two sessions per day of yoga with cats, that come with early entry to the event.
According to the event’s website, it will also feature adoption opportunities, although details were not immediately available.
General admission tickets begin at $30 for Saturday and $20 for Sunday. Two-day passes have sold out, as have passes to bring your cat along for the fun.
