Ciderwalk, part of Silicon Valley Beer Week, at Santana Row Saturday

Santana Row in West San Jose

Silicon Valley Beer Week, an annual celebration of the growing craft beer scene in the area, is well underway with events continuing through the end of this weekend.

As part of this series of events, four establishments at San Jose’s Santana Row, 377 Santana Row, will host Ciderwalk. The event will feature four different ciders from four different companies at each of the four restaurants.

Left Bank Brasserie will have a Hemly Cider; Rosie McCann will pour 101 Cider House; Sino – Santana Row is set to have Blindwood Cider; and Straits Restaurants will have cider from Mission Trail.

According to event organizers, advanced registration is not required. To participate in the tasting, show up at the event site on Saturday, July 27, and purchase a $5 souvenir glass. Tastings continue from 2 to 5 p.m.

In order to encourage family outings, designated drivers do not need to purchase tickets, and children in strollers and dogs are welcome – though they might not be allowed into some areas that are indoors or 21+.
