It is easy to be confused by all the terminology and acronyms that get thrown around in housing discussions.
To help area residents wade through this debate, an upcoming event in Mountain View will shed some light on the financing behind affordable housing.
Housing Trust Silicon Valley, “a nonprofit community loan fund based in San Jose that works to improve quality of life low-income people in the 13-county greater Bay Area by increasing affordable housing opportunities,” is hosting the ‘Affordable Housing Finance 101’ panel.
The event is set for Thursday, May 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pure Storage, 599 Castro Street #200, in Mountain View.
According to the event’s information page, the panel is part of Santa Clara’s Affordable Housing Week. Housing Trust’s Chief Lending Officer, Jim Mather, will lead the information session.
