The exhibit, Ancestral Journeys, will be featured at De Anza College‘s Euphrat Museum from Feb. 4 to March 21.
Ancestral Journeys “explores identity and ancestral migration, immigration, and diasporas,” according to the museum’s website. Seventy artworks will be on display there, in partnership and conjunction with Silicon Valley Reads’ theme: “Finding Identity in Family History.”
A special reception will take place on Feb. 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. where artists and attendees can mingle and enjoy live music and refreshments.
Those interested in learning more can attend the “Visiting Artist Presentation” with Cheryl Derricotte and Trinh Mai on Feb. 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m and again from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Visitors can also participate in the ongoing drop-in art activity “Ancestral Trading Cards” on March 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
