The Fremont Union High School District wants to bring awareness and education to the community regarding teen mental wellness by hosting an event, A Healthy Mind: Teen Mental Health Discussion for Parents, on Nov. 15 at Monta Vista High School, 21840 McClellan Road. It will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
FUHSD, in partnership with El Camino Hospital, is continuing a conversation with district students and parents regarding teen mental health. The event will cover several topics, including suicide prevention education, opportunities to communicate in a healthy way with teens, and signs and symptoms of mental health conditions. It will help parents learn when and how to reach out for help when your teen needs it, according to organizers.
There will also be a Q&A session. The presentation will be delivered in English.
