The Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) is hosting a one-day event for potential teachers called Step into Teaching on Aug. 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1290 Ridder Park Drive in San Jose.
The event aims to provide teaching candidates the opportunity to meet with representatives from local credentialing institutions and financial aid specialists to learn how to become a teacher in California, according to the SCCOE press release.

Also, the first California Student Data Day hosted by SCCOE will take pace Oct. 15 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The statewide conference will have education leaders, counselors, teachers and stakeholders exploring the use of data to impact student achievement and support.
