Cupertino students announced as winners of Young Artists Showcase

Three Cupertino students were announced winners of the SCCOE Young Artists Showcase.

Two Cupertino High students and a Lincoln Elementary student were announced as winners of the Santa Clara County Office of Education Young Artists Showcase.

Lincoln Elementary fifth grader Nishanth Joshi and Cupertino High students Valeska Nava and Alyanna Posadas were awarded for their submissions in the competition, which encouraged students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade to submit art pieces that show “how their art comes from the heart.”

The SCCOE’s Young Artist Showcase Gallery is the largest collection of adjudicated student artwork in California. Students have the choice of having their original piece added to the collection of paintings, drawings, watercolors and various other works of art or students can request that a facsimile be used instead. Twenty-eight new art pieces will join the collection this year.
