The Cupertino Recreation Department and Teen Commission are hosting the 2nd annual Hack Cupertino event, a 13-hour overnight ‘hackathon’ where teenagers will work together to create a solution. The event will begin on April 14 at 6 p.m. and will conclude on April 15 at 11 a.m. at Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road.
The event will begin with an open ceremony, where a problem will be presented and each team will create a project to solve the problem. Participants must be 13-18 years old and a team of maximum four people is required. Participants who leave anytime within the 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. timeslot will not be allowed back to the event.
The projects will be judge at 8 a.m. on April 15. Winning teams will have the chance to present their project to the Cupertino City Council and will receive a commendation from Cupertino leaders.
