The Santa Clara County Library District, in association with the Second Harvest Food Bank, will be waiving overdue fines in exchange for non-perishable food donations from April 2 through April 30.

This month’s “Food for Fines” is valid at every Santa Clara County Library location. Food donations will waive up to $100 on unpaid fees and fines and all individuals, even those in good standing at the library, are encouraged to donate.

Most needed food items include canned tuna, chicken or salmon, peanut butter, canned meals, canned vegetables, canned fruits, olive or canola oil, spices, whole grain cereals and healthy snacks.

Donations will be accepted at the Accounts Desk of any SCCL location during normal hours. For more information, click here.
