A weekend of wins and losses for Cupertino high schools sports

Cupertino High School Varsity Football won a close game against Mountain View on Friday, 28-21. The win boosted Cupertino’s record to 4-2. The team will play at home against Santa Clara on Friday Oct. 13 at 7 p.m.

The Homestead Mustangs Varsity Football team defeated the Los Altos Eagles on Friday, Oct. 6 at home with a final score of 22-19. The Mustangs will play their next game at home on Friday, Oct. 13 against the Los Gatos Wildcats in honor of their Senior night.

The Monta Vista Matadors Girls Varsity Field Hockey faced a loss against the Lynbrook High School Vikings 5-1. The girls team will play Los Gatos High School at home this Friday, Oct. 13 at 3:30 p.m.

Cupertino High School’s Boys Cross Country team came in first at the Artichoke Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 7, with the Monta Vista Matadors coming in second for boys and first for girls.
