Join the Friends of Stevens Creek Trail and Grassroots Ecology in restoring wildlife habitat by planting native plants, removing invasive plants, and installing sheet mulch.
The event will be at 22221 McClellan Rd. on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 am to 11:30 am.
Volunteers should bring a reusable water bottle to the site and sturdy shoes and long pants are recommended.
Minors under 18 are required to bring a waiver form signed by their parent and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult unless prior approval is obtained from the supervisor.
It is the goal of The Friends of Stevens Creek Trail to promote community pride and involvement in the completion, enhancement, and enjoyment of the Stevens Creek and Permanente Creek Trails and Wildlife Corridors, according to the Stevens Creek Trail website.
