The last Environmental Recycling Day and Shred It event of the year returns to Cupertino on Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the De Anza College Parking Lot A, 21250 Stevens Creek Blvd.
The free drive-through, drop-off service for Cupertino residents is offered four times per year to encourage extended use of products and to prevent valuable resources from going to the landfill. The event is made possible due to collaboration between the City of Cupertino and Recology.
Participants are allotted one trip per household and are responsible for unloading materials. In addition, all participants must be Cupertino residents and provide a current collection bill as well as personal identification as verification.
