The City of Cupertino and Public Works Department announced the installation of its first bicycle repair station in front of the Cupertino Library. According the City of Cupertino, the new repair station was installed “to encourage and facilitate bicycling around the city and to the library in particular.”
In anticipation of a positive response from the bicycling community, the Public Works department hopes to install more repair stations around the community in the coming months.
The station is located near the Coffee Society and consists of a bicycle support post, tools to tune up and make minor repairs to bicycles, as well as a manually operated air pump. The repair station is available to the public free of charge.
