With rainy weather marking the return of winter here in Northern California, and with holidays just a few weeks away, festive events are popping up across the region.
The Northside Branch Library in Santa Clara, 695 Moreland Way, is set to host another festive event this weekend, which has already sold out.
Its Winter Wonderland Carnival, slated for Saturday, December 14, will feature carnival games with a winter theme, food, fun raffles and more. The event is targeted at all ages of attendees.
Organizers hope ticketholders will wear something festive, including ugly Christmas sweaters for a contest, and come ready for an afternoon of enjoyable activities.
The Santa Clara City Library Foundation is sponsoring the event, which runs from 2 to 4 p.m. While tickets are not currently available, there may be waitlist seating open on the day of the event.
