Celebrations of Diwali, known as the Festival of Lights, continue across the West Valley as they have in the region’s communities over the last month.
On Sunday, November 10, Saratoga Diwali is set to celebrate its eighth edition with music, dancing, food, and community-making activities. The gathering will center around a vegetarian potluck and the event will feature an open-mic format where community members can perform as desired.
Organized by the Saratoga Hindu Temple and Community Center, Saratoga’s Diwali is set for the Joan Pisani Community Center, 19655 Allendale Ave., from 12 to 2 p.m.
This event is free to attend and is open to all, not just Saratoga residents.
