Following the troubling data earlier this summer from Santa Clara County officials, which showed that 31% of area teens had tried an e-cigarette, a number of local agencies are teaming up for an information and resource session this week.
The Alum Rock Counseling Center, the City of Cupertino, Santa Clara County’s Behavioral Health Services, and two school districts – Cupertino Union and Fremont Union, are hosting the event on Tuesday, October 1.
The event will feature a presentation by counseling center staff followed by a Q&A session where members of the public can ask questions of leaders from the organizing groups. Attendees will also have a chance to provide input on proposed tobacco policies in the City of Cupertino.
The event, which runs from 7 to 9 p.m., is set for Monta Vista High, 21840 McClellan Rd. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m.
Educators, parents and family members, and interested community members are welcome.
