Wednesday will see the latest event aiming to restore native habitats in Cupertino’s McClellan Ranch Preserve.
Hosted by local non-profit organization, Grassroots Ecology, the event focuses on restoring “grassland meadow ecosystem and provide habitat for native wildlife at McClellan Ranch Preserve.”
Local restoration efforts help build community support for small-scale, but necessary, habitat changes that improve the health of area wildlife and prevent invasive species from spreading.
The event is 8 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 14. It will begin at the meadow sundial at McClellan Ranch, 22221 McClellan Road, in Cupertino. Parking is available at the site.
Anyone looking to participate must register online and fill out a waiver here.
Organizers also stress that participants with accessibility issues are welcome, but should reach out in advance to ensure project flexibility.
Wednesday’s event is one of a multi-month series, with future events set through December.
