The West Valley is no stranger to natural disasters – from earthquakes to increasingly common wildfires. In response, Sunnyvale officials are offering a free workshop to help residents prepare for those situations.
Sunnyvale’s Department of Public Safety will run the free session at the Department’s office, 700 All America Way, on Sunday, August 4.
It will run from 2 to 5 p.m. and attendees are advised to arrive at least fifteen minutes in advance for parking and sign-in.
Attendees will learn how to prepare for emergencies and disasters, given that emergency personnel may be unavailable for hours or days following a major event.
Information on how to prepare your family and your home, as well as what to prioritize in the preparedness process, will also be covered.
Space is limited and attendees are encouraged to reserve a space. For more information on this event, and to reserve a spot, click here.
