Cupertino Rotary’s golf fundraiser to benefit Uplift Family Services

The Cupertino Rotary Club announced that Uplift Family Services, a leader in providing innovative mental and behavioral health care for children for over 150 years, will be the primary beneficiary of the 26th Annual Golf Classic Tournament, which takes place Saturday, May 4.

Uplift Family Services, which helps children and family members recover from trauma such as abuse, severe neglect, addiction and poverty, will receive $25,000 from The Golf Classic, which raises funds to assist area-wide charities.

Each year, Cupertino Rotary sends out applications to local non-profits and selects the one that they believe needs their contribution most.

“Uplift Family Services certainly fit the need and we are pleased to help them and support their mission,”  said Orrin Mahoney, Fund Development Lead, Cupertino Rotary.

“Our sincerest appreciation for choosing Uplift Family Services as this year’s Golf Tournament beneficiary, “ said Darren DeMonsi, Associate Director of Development for Uplift Family Services (formerly EMQ FamiliesFirst).  “The funds will help to transport the children in Uplift’s many Santa Clara County programs.  Our goal is to help these children and teens lead healthy and happy lives,” he added.
