Some of Cupertino’s brightest “stars” in the business community will be recognized on April 26 by the Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber’s annual STAR Awards will bestow recognition upon “local businesses and residents whose contributions have made a significant and beneficial impact on the Cupertino community,” according to organizers.
The Chamber’s Board President, Rod Diridon, announced the 2019 recipients at Mayor Steven Scharf’s State of the City Address.
The 2019 Organization of the Year is the Cupertino-Toyokawa Sister Cities Association. The 2019 Citizens of the Year are Henry Sang and Don Sun. The 2019 Business of the Year is Paul and Eddies Monta Vista Inn. The 2019 President’s Award recipient is John Zirelli.
The STAR Awards are open to the public. It will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Cupertino Hotel, 10889 N. De Anza Boulevard.
