Organizations can recruit helping hands at Cupertino Volunteer Fair

The Cupertino Volunteer Fair returns May 5 and organizations can begin registering now to find residents ready and willing to lend a hand.

The City-hosted event lets nonprofit and volunteer groups showcase programs and recruit for volunteers and interns. It will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cupertino’s Civic Center Plaza, 10350 Torre Ave.

“Whether it is a retired individual seeking to dedicate their time to a greater purpose, a high-school student needing to complete service credit, or any individual seeking to better enrich their lives through volunteering, the Cupertino Volunteer Fair will match volunteers with opportunities at local organizations,” the City website states.

The City is suggesting that participating groups have some materials available in Chinese or other applicable languages for attendees who speak English as their second language.
