Commission to discuss parks and recreation master plan

Residents interested in hearing about the City’s plan for future parks and recreation opportunities in Cupertino, might want to attend a public hearing on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m.

The City of Cupertino is developing a city wide master plan for its parks and recreation system. On Thursday, the Parks and Recreation Commission will review criteria that will help prioritize potential park and recreation improvements, according to the City.

Residents attending the meeting will have the chance to address the Commission and ask questions

According to the meeting agenda, the planning process for Cupertino’s Citywide Parks and Recreation System Master Plan has involved community input, identified goals and possible projects for implementation. The commission “discussed and endorsed criteria for evaluating capital projects” in January of 2015.

The meeting will be held in Community Hall, 10350 Torre Ave. at the Civic Center.

  1. Too bad to hear about it so late in order to plan.
I would bring up the idea of having the Greenfields Outdoor Fitness Equipment in Memorial Park.

Shouldn’t there be more notice in the paper of these meetings as well as notices delivered by hand or post office to the homes of the citizens in Cupertino?
