Young locals encouraged to attend ‘talking circle’

Young locals are encouraged to attend "talking circle"Young locals are encouraged to talk about the change they want to see at Cupertino.

A Cupertino youth group is hosting a barbeque and “talking circle” for young locals on May 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Creekside Park, 10455 Miller Ave.

The group, Cupertino Young Adults and Youth, is encouraging young people to get involved to create change in the community.

The event is an opportunity for youth to express what they want to see in the community, specifically at the Vallco site, which is undergoing a city-led specific plan. Cupertino Young Adults and Youth want to know what young people need, what social justice issues are important to them and what kind of change they want to see.
