Stop the Violence Reception

The Parti Program’s 23rd annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: Stop the Violence reception is a student-led event to support youth equity and violence prevention in Santa Clara County. The event will feature Youth Leadership Training and a VIP reception, fashion show, and talent show. The main event will take place from 4pm to 6pm, followed by a youth event from 6pm to 8:30pm. MLK2023 Commemorative Transportation

Each year the Northern California Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Foundation partners with local and regional transportation agencies to provide transportation to and from commemorative events on MLK Day. Participating transit agencies this year include Caltrain, BART, Muni, and Golden Gate Ferry. Learn more here.
Martin Luther King Jr. Luncheon

The African American Community Service Agency will host its 43rd annual MLK luncheon on Monday. The event will feature political strategist, former CNN commentator, and author Symone D. Sanders as the keynote speaker, accompanied by performances from Prentice Powell and Victoria Thuy Vi McDowell. Applications to be a sponsor or vendor for the event are still open. “The Dream of a King” Storytime

I Have a Dream Virtual Race

Moon Joggers is celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. with their third annual “I Have a Dream” virtual race. 1mi, 5K, 10K, 13.1mi, and 26.2mi virtual run events are available throughout the month of January.
