Downtown San Jose Veterans Day Parade

Santa Clara Street/Highway 87 exit, Downtown San Jose

Friday, November 11 at 10:30 a.m.

San Jose will continue its 104-year tradition of honoring veterans and active members of the U.S. Armed Forces at this year’s Veterans Day Parade Downtown. The event will begin with a ceremony at 10:30am across from Plaza de Cesar Chavez. The parade to follow will include military personnel, marching bands, vintage vehicles, and more. Learn more here.

Cupertino Veterans Memorial Ceremony

Cupertino Veterans Memorial, 10110 Parkwood Dr, Cupertino

Friday, November 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Friday’s ceremony will mark the first year after the pandemic that the Cupertino Veterans Memorial will gather to honor Veterans Day. Retired U.S. Marines Major General Mike Myatt will be the keynote at this year’s ceremony. Learn more here.

Light the Night: Honoring Veterans

Atria Almaden, 4610 Almaden Expressway, San Jose

Thursday, November 10 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Community members are invited to join Atria Almaden in honoring all veterans, active service members and those who have passed. Attendees will have the options to personalize a luminaria for their special veteran. Lanterns will be lit at sunset during a dedication ceremony. Learn more here.

BARC’s Veterans Day Run

San Pedro Square, 87 N. San Pedro St, San Jose

Thursday, November 10 at 6 p.m.

Join the Bay Area Run Crew in honoring veterans on a run through San Jose. Runners are instructed to wear red, white and blue. They will visit the memorials in Downtown San Jose and join Team RWB in their national fundraiser, WOD (workout of the day) for Warriors. Check out the route and reserve your spot here.

Veteran Breakfast

Los Lagos Golf Course, 2995 Tuers Rd, San Jose

Friday, November 11 from 7:30 to 11 a.m.

The Los Lagos Golf Course invites all who have served to stop by for their annual Veterans breakfast. Tickets for those who have served are free, however reservations are required. Friends and family of veterans can purchase tickets for $7. The menu includes eggs, potatoes, toast, meat, and an array of pancake options. RSVP here.

Veterans Day Dinner

Drying Shed, 402 Toyon Ave, San Jose

Friday, November 11 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The American GI Forum will host a Veterans Day dinner to honor local veterans at the Drying Shed Restaurant. General admission tickets are $40 and youth tickets $10. Donations will also be accepted. Purchase your tickets here.

Veterans Day Art Camp

Westfield Valley Fair, 2855 Stevens Creek Blvd, Santa Clara

Friday, November 11 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Young Art will host students at a day camp. Kids will learn artistic skills and participate in a range of activities celebrating Veterans Day. Two time slots are available throughout the day. Students are welcome to bring snacks and required to wear a mask. You can purchase tickets here.

Veterans Day School Break Camp

Friday, November 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Send your student to hang out at the APJCC’s youth lounge, Club J, for a fun-filled day of supervised activities. Activities will include crafts, games, sports, and more. Day camp is open to children in grades K-5. Extended care may be available. Ticket purchase is required. Learn more here.
