Silicon Valley Power is offering high school students from Santa Clara grants of up to $5,000 to create projects or awareness campaigns that educate the community on energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Examples of projects include educational videos, public art displays, webinars, and workshops. Participants can get creative and pitch a project of their choosing. The only limit is that it must promote energy efficiency and renewable energy.
The program is open to high school students who live in Santa Clara or attend a school located within the Santa Clara city limits. Preference will be given to students who target diversity, equity and inclusion in their campaigns.
Applications will be scored based on content, key messages, target audience, community reach, and value for the money spent.
Silicon Valley Power grants are awarded twice per year with deadlines on June 30 and December 31. For complete eligibility requirements and program details, visit SiliconValleyPower.com/Grants. Read the program announcement from Silicon Valley Power here.
