The Cupertino Whole Foods is partnering with the Stanford Blood Center to host a community blood drive on Wednesday, April 13th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Walk-in availability may be limited and donors are encouraged to make an appointment in advance by visiting https://stanford.io/3IJczJq or calling (888) 723-7831.
Stanford Blood Center’s top priority is the safety of their donors. In preparation for donations, they recommend donors eat well, stay hydrated, and arrive with their donor ID. Those without a donor ID must bring a valid state-issued photo ID.
Donors who log into the SBC app at least once at the drive will receive a free wireless phone charger and a tree planted in their name as part of their April Green Donor campaign.
“Blood donors are essential to the health and safety of our community. You never know when you or someone you know could need blood,” said Monica Doleshel-Aguirre, Stanford Blood Center Account Manager. “In critical situations, it’s the blood that has already been donated that saves lives at a moment’s notice. That’s why we are asking our community members to step up to come out to the Whole Foods blood drive. In just one hour, you could donate enough blood to help multiple patients at a time they need it most.”
The Cupertino Whole Foods is located at 20955 Stevens Creek Blvd. Please note that masks will be required for all donors regardless of vaccination status.
