Bed Bath & Beyond closures to hit South Bay next month

Bed Bath & Beyond will close its Campbell and Milpitas locations by the end of February as part of a previously announced plan by the company to close about 200 stores by the end of 2022, according to SFGate.com.

In a statement to the news site, the company said it had previously informed employees of the closures, adding, “While the decision to close a store is always a difficult one, Bed Bath & Beyond looks forward to serving area customers at other stores — such as in Santa Clara, San Jose and Redwood City.”

The Campbell and Milpitas locations, along with the 35 other stores, are currently undergoing liquidation sales. Other California locations closing include Laguna Niguel, Rancho Santa Margarita, and Tustin.

Nearly half of Bed Bath & Beyond’s remaining stores will undergo major remodels as part of a transformation plan reportedly set to include a focus on e-commerce.
