Veterans Day Parade

Highway 87 & Santa Clara St, San Jose

November 11, 12 p.m.

The San Jose Veterans Day Parade is back after going virtual in 2020. The parade will feature military personnel, marching bands, and local politicians. It will travel from Highway 87 & Santa Clara Street to Market Street, and continue through San Carlos Street.

American GI Forum Veteran’s Day Dinner

Drying Shed, 402 Toyon Ave, San Jose

November 11, 6 p.m.

The San Jose chapter of American GI Forum will host a dinner to honor local veterans and Blue Star Mothers from the community. A table has been reserved free of charge for local homeless veterans. You can join the American GI Forum for dinner Thursday by purchasing tickets here.

Veteran’s Day Lego Camp

4000 Middlefield Road #D5, Palo Alto

November 11, 8:30 a.m.

Have a Lego enthusiast in the family? Sign your child up for this one-day camp where attendees will be grouped by age and taught the fundamentals of simple machines through Lego play. Camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with after care offered from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Register your child here.

La Raza Historical Society Latinx Veterans Salute

Join La Raza Historical Society to virtually salute all Latinx veterans. You will learn about patriots from the Barrio and the ghosts of Hero Street, and meet Dave Gutierrez and Carlos Harrison, authors of Latino/Latina Veteran Experience. Learn more here.

Campbell Veterans Memorial Foundation Vietnam War Memorial

300 Grant St, Campbell

November 11, 9 a.m.

The Campbell Veterans Memorial Foundation will recognize the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. The Foundation invites veterans, whether deployed in Vietnam or not and who served from November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, to be recognized with a Vietnam Service pin authorized by the Department of Defense. Spirit of ’45

SAP Center, 525 W Santa Clara St, San Jose

November 11, 11 a.m.

Help honor our WWII veterans by participating in this year’s San Jose Veterans Day Parade as a volunteer for Spirit of ‘45. Community members can volunteer to carry a poster of a WWII veteran through the mile-long parade route. You can notify the Spirit of ’45 of your interest in participating via their Facebook page.

Veteran’s Day Hip Hop & Cheer Camps

3550 Homestead Rd, Santa Clara

November 11-12, 9 a.m.

Unified Studios will offer a Veteran’s Day camp Thursday and Friday. Half-day and full-day sign-ups are available. Unified Studios invites all children ages 4 through 12 for a day of dance. Snacks and juice will be provided. Sign up here.

Morgan Hill Veterans Day Run

17500 Depot St, Morgan Hill

November 14, 9:30 a.m.

The Morgan Hill Freedom Fest will host a Veterans Day Run to honor the community’s veterans. All proceeds from the race will be donated to the Morgan Hill Freedom Fest and all veteran organizations listed on the Partners page. Register for the race here.
