Valley Transit Authority light rail still suspended

Following the Guadalupe Light Rail Yard tragedy that left 9 dead on May 26, light rail services continue to be affected.

On Tuesday, June 1, VTA suspended bus bridges that were providing alternate transport for light rail passengers. Light rail service continues to be suspended indefinitely, and VTA is directing all resources to the regular bus network that serves the majority of riders who rely on public transit the most. With limited operators, service will be less frequent, including for regular bus service, for the time being.

Riders can contact VTA’s Customer Service at (408) 321-2300 during business hours for service information and/or use TransitApp for real-time bus information.
