California’s Great America is officially reopening next month on Saturday, May 22, just in time for summer.
On Monday, park officials announced that the amusement park’s 2021 spring and summer operating calendar is now available to schedule dates through Labor Day. The new South Bay Shores waterpark operating calendar has not yet been released, but customers can plan to enjoy the Taste of Orleans, which will run from July 17 to August 1.
All 2020 Silver, Gold, Platinum and Pre-K Season Passes will be honored during the 2021 season, including 2020 Season Pass add-on products. All 2020 park admission tickets are valid through Sept. 6, 2021.
While there is no official statement from Great America on the expected attendance capacity, amusement parks in California can currently reopen at 15% capacity in the red/substantial tier 2, 25% capacity in the orange/moderate tier 3 and 35% capacity in the yellow/minimal tier 4.
Great America encourages guests to visit cagreatamerica.com for the latest updates on requirements, policies and safety protocols for the 2021 season, as these guidelines may be revised prior to opening day.
