Santa Clara accepting applications for new Task Force on Diversity Equity, and Inclusion

The City of Santa Clara is accepting applications from residents for three remaining open seats on its new Task Force on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

The focus of the Task Force is to engage residents in an open dialogue to help the City take future actions to achieve social equity.

The Task Force will consist of up to seven community members who will help review police use of force policies and engage communities to seek a diverse range of input, experiences, and stories.

The committee members are volunteers and are appointed by the Santa Clara City Council. Current task force members will recommend community members for appointment to the three remaining seats for Council’s consideration.

The deadline to apply for the Task Force is Friday, November 13 at 5pm. To apply, visit the Task Force on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion website and complete the application and supplemental questions packet. Interviews will take place at 5pm during the week of November 30.
