The San Jose Sharks are increasing their voter turnout efforts, putting their mascot to use.
Sharkie, the popular local figure, will appear at the SAP Center in San Jose, taking selfies with voters. The Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters has two official drop boxes at the arena.
Sharkie will be on site Tuesday, October 27, from 4 to 4:30 p.m.

The county Registrar of Voters is also open for registration questions and in-person voting. Hours through the November 3 election are below.
- Saturday 10/24 to Sunday 10/25 — 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Monday 10/26 to Friday 10/30 — 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m
- Saturday 10/31 to Sunday 11/1 — 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Tuesday 11/3 — Election Day — 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m
