Sunnyvale City Council candidates to exchange ideas at forum Monday

The League of Women Voters of Cupertino-Sunnyvale is continuing their voter education series Monday evening.

Candidates for the Sunnyvale City Council’s Sixth District, which includes the city’s northern neighborhoods.

Three candidates – Omar Din, Leia Mehlman, and Charlotte Thornton – will participate in the forum. It is set for 7 p.m. on Monday, October 5, running on Zoom.

Monday’s event follows a forum in September between the city’s mayoral candidates. That event, where Mayor Larry Klein, Vice Mayor Nancy Smith, and Councilmember Michael Goldman is available here.

Sunnyvale’s City Council will see a number of new faces after the election, given that Smith and Goldman are forfeiting their chances to run for reelection to the council – opting instead to run for Mayor.
