Palo Alto in last week of garnering feedback on rail corridor

Communities up and down the Peninsula and West Valley are facing changes in coming years along their busy rail corridors.

Palo Alto has been taking community feedback as it undergoes planning processes. It comes as Caltrain electrification continues and its leaders push for expanded service, and with High Speed Rail planned eventually.

Given the constraints of COVID-19, the city established a virtual town hall, running from August 19 to September 7. The expansive portal includes information on the project, maps, and opportunities for residents to provide feedback.

Planning covers a number of stations in the city limits, as well as four at-grade crossings and four separated-grade crossings.

The deadline for resident feedback is Monday, September 7.
