Los Altos Hills event honing in on family mental health

The COVID-19 pandemic is challenging for people of every age, with unique stresses taking a toll.

Los Altos Hills is hoping that an upcoming event will ease some of those mental health challenges.

Run by the Community Health Awareness Council, the event is set for Sunday, August 30 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Dr. Nicola Sarace, a professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, will present on how families can find balance.

A panel discussion will follow, providing information and resources for families and children.

“We welcome parents, families, educators, community leaders, and any and all who feel strongly about our children’s mental health and the well-being of families to join us,” said the Council’s Executive Director Marsha Deslauriers.
